Winter hunger is a myth! January puts people off. Cold, bare, nothing to find. Nonsense. Anyone who sees nothing now, hasn’t been paying attention the previous weeks. This is the month in which knowledge makes the difference between dependency and autonomy. Nature gives less, but enough for those who are prepared.
🍄🟫 Do’s and don’ts of foraging
Foraging is not always easy. Therefore, if necessary, read our basic article on this subject here once more.

What can you find now in nature?
Tree bark from birch and pine provides tea and emergency fibre. Pine needles are full of vitamin C and are perfect for decoctions. Under snow and leaves, dandelion root, burdock root and chicory remain usable. Mosses and lichens are not food for beginners, but are useful knowledge for emergencies.
What can you do with it?
Make pine needle tea against winter fatigue. Dry and roast roots that you learnt to recognise earlier. Practise making simple decoctions and broths. This is not gourmet, this is survival.
What do you do this week?
✅ Make pine needle tea
✅ Dig up one edible root
✅ Check and use winter stores
✅ Study edible emergency crops without eating them
✅ Note down what you did not know
